Organizing the Buddhist Chanting of Paritta Verses

The widespread of Coronavirus that infected people in various parts of the world and caused hundreds of dead people with thousands are hospitalized, The World Fellowship of Buddhists (The WFB) and its networking organizations had co-operated with the Buddhist Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, the Young Buddhist Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, the Thai-Chinese Buddhist Association and On the Path of the Buddha Foundation (Regional Centres of The WFB in Thailand) convened the meeting to arrange the Buddhist Chanting of Paritta Verses at Phutthamonthon (Buddhist Park) in Nakhon Pathom Province, Thailand.  This practice of reciting verses and scriptures is to ward off misfortune or danger.  It was begun at very early in the history of Buddhism to provide protection from certain afflictions including bring about safety, peace and well-being to a community.
