Demise of Mr. Pramatha Barua, Assistant Secretary-General of The WFB
15 August B.E. 2563 (2020)
It is with deep sense of sadness when we have received news of the sudden pass away of Mr. Pramatha Barua on 15 August B.E. 2563 (2020). He was Assistant Secretary-General of The WFB, and Vice-President of Bangladesh Bouddha Kristi Prachar Sangha, a prominent Regional Centre of The WFB in Bangladesh. Although mainly of Bangladeshi is muslim, this Regional Centre has played a significant role of Buddhism propagation. Mr. Barua always energetically supported Buddhist activities, orphanage welfare, and all activities for the best of society, which earned him several awards, the same as his achievement in business world.
His demise has brought a great sadness to all people who knew him. We have lost an active person of Buddhist and business world.
