Headquarters

On 24 May B.E. 2565 (2022) the 97th EXCO Meeting was held at the Meeting Room 1 at its Headquarters, Bangkok, Thailand in hybrid mode (on site and via webinar).  Most of EXCO Members and attendees attended via webinar.  H.E. Phan Wannamethee, President of The WFB, assigned Rev. Masamichi Kobayashi (The WFB Vice-President) to convene the meeting on his behalf with the assistance of Mr. Phallop Thaiarry (Vice-President and Secretary-General of The WFB).  Meanwhile, Rev. Yoshiharu Tomatsu (EXCO Member from Japan), Mrs. Kanchana Soonsawad (EXCO Member from Thailand), Mr. Kongkar Tipkeeree (The WFB Treasurer), Rev. Hakuga Murayama (President of WFBY and Chairperson of The WFB Standing Committee on Youth), Rev. Ryosho Shoji (Deputy Secretary-General of The WFB), and Rev. Kosho Tomioka (Director of International Dept. of Japan Buddhist Federation), Rev. Su Jin Choi and Rev. Kang Se Jin (Won-Buddhism of South Korea), Ms. Sawanee Chuensumran (Deputy Secretary-General of The WFB), and Mr. Montian Thananart (President of Young Buddhist Association of Thailand) also attended in person along with other attendees in Thailand.

Moreover, it was informed at the meeting that President of The WFB has appointed and given full authority to Mr. Phallop Thaiarry to act and perform on his behalf in the operating and the handling of The WFB’s functions and activities from now onwards until the commencing date of The WFB’s General Conference including designated him to appoint members of Organizing Committee of the 30th WFB General Conference.
