On 11 March B.E. 2565 (2022) Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, Vice-President and Secretary-General of The WFB, along with its executives, Mrs. Sawanee Chuensumran, Deputy Secretary-General, and Rear Adm. Isara Yimpanich, member of the Board of Director, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Kriengsak Boonprasit, Director-General of the Department of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Culture Thailand.

On 25 Feb B.E. 2565 (2022) Mr. Yerlan Tlenchiyev, Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Thailand, visited The WFB Headquarters whom was welcomed by Ven. Dhammashkyavamshavisuddhi (Anil Sakya), Rector of World Buddhist University, and Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, Secretary-General of The WFB.  Mr. Tlenchiyev had delivered the letters from H.E. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for inviting both executives to attend the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions to be held from 14-15 September B.E. 2565 (2022) in Nur-Sultan, Republic of Kazakhstan.

On Saturday 29 January B.E. 2565 (2022) the World Fellowship of Buddhists (The WFB) had organized its Annual Merit Making and Ceremony of the Auspicious 99th Birthday Anniversary of H.E. Phan Wannamethee, President of The WFB.  Meals and offerings for monks were provided, including chanting the Buddhist stanza.  Most Ven. Somdet Phra Maha Dhirracarya, who is Member of Thai Supreme Sangha Council, Abbot of Phra Chetuphon Wimol Mangklaram Temple and Supreme Advisor of The WFB, acts on behalf of His Holiness Somdet Phra Ariyavongsagatanana, Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, was chairman of the ceremony.

On 3 January B.E. 2565 (2022) H.E. Phan Wannamethee, President of The WFB, assigned Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, Vice-President and Secretary-General, donated THB 100,000 on behalf of The WFB for education of around 300 students who are studying at Kalayani Watthana Secondary School in Chiangmai of which Ven.

New Year is the occasion we look back and appreciate the good things in the past.

The WFB Headquarters cooperated with On the Path of the Buddha Foundation (a Regional Centre of The WFB in Thailand) donated 2,100 blankets to monks and people who suffered from the unusual cold weather in Thailand

On 13 November B.E. 2564 (2021) His Holiness Somdet Phra Ariyavongsagatanana, Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, had kindly granted the Sangharaja Kathina Robe to The WFB, its sub-organizations (WFBY, and WBU), the Young Buddhist Association of Thailand Under the Royal Patronage, and Sirinthornrajvithayalai Foundation Under the Royal Patronage to respectfully confer to the monks of Jaeng-pochanaram Temple in Chanthaburi Province Thailand.

On 28 October B.E. 2564 (2021) the 96th Executive Council Meeting of The WFB via ZOOM webinar was held at the Headquarters of The WFB, Bangkok, Thailand.

H.E. Phan Wannamethee, President of The WFB, assigned Mrs. Kanchana Soonsawad (EXCO Member) and Mrs. Sawanee Chuensumran (Deputy Secretary-General) attended UNESCO Prize for Girls’ and Women’s Education via webinar.  It was a part of the celebration of 2021 International Day of the Girl held at headquarter of UNESCO on 15 October B.E. 2564 (2021).

To this date the pandemic of COVID-19 is widespread to all countries and the virus was mutated into new variants which put so much affects to people around the world.  Every country requests their people to receive anti-virus injection.  The WFB Humanitarian Assistance does not hesitant to assist people and we had raising fund and provided financial assistance to Nepal.
