The theme of the conference was defined in accordance with the Buddha’s Teachings that is the merit of tolerance can pacify all raging situations.  Only tolerance can be fulfilled through the perfection of morality. 

H.E. Phan Wannamethee, the President of the WFB, also mentioned that although we, the WFB, do not have any supreme power or knowledge; we must work together and rely on each other efforts for world peace.  The WFB should take a role of catalyst: to exchange views, submit ideas, give suggestions and act as medium, whenever possible, for international understanding and cooperation.

Moreover, Draft of Revision of the WFB Constitution was accepted in principle; however, all Regional Centres were requested to finalize the amendment within 3 months in order to be considered at the next EXCO Meeting.  Meanwhile, the existing Constitution for WFB administration was used until it was considered in the next WFB General Conference.
