ACRP is an interfaith platform, which brings together Asian religious leaders working together in creating peace and lessens conflicts through inter-religious dialogues and religious cooperation.  The first Asian Conference of Religions for Peace (ACRP) convened in Singapore in B.E. 2519 (1976). Its origins trace to WCRP II in Leuven, Belgium, in September B.E. 2517 (1974).  It resulted founding ACRP which to reanimate the Asian religious and cultural heritage and promote human dignity, justice, and peace in the Asia-Pacific region. Subsequent conferences have been held every five years or so.  At present, ACRP has twenty-one member countries, including Thailand.

This ACRP Executive Committee Meeting in Osaka was a preparatory meeting of the Ninth Assembly of ACRP in Tokyo B.E. 2563 (2020), that marks its 50th Anniversary.
