Won-Buddhism Former Prime Dharma Master Emeritus, the Most Venerable Chwasan Nim, and his group from South Korea visited The WFB Headquarters

Most Ven. Chwasan Nim, was the fourth prime dharma master of Won-Buddhism, visited The WFB Headquarters along with his group on 7 Mar. B.E. 2566 (2023).  It was the second time since his last visit in B.E. 2560 (2017).  Won-Buddhism, a Regional Centre of The WFB in South Korea, emphasizes on the integration of spiritual practice into daily life and update Buddhist teachings to make them more relevant to contemporary society and more understandable to contemporary people.  Won-Buddhists are known for their interfaith work as well as for their commitment to social issues.  Most Ven. Chwasan Nim was glad to know that The WFB is the place for all denominations of Buddhism and working for world peace which is mutual objective of both organizations.     

The group was welcomed by Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, President of The WFB, Mr. Kongkar Tipkeeree (Treasurer), two members of The WFB Board of Directors - Admiral Jeerapat Pansakun, and Ms. Naruechol Bovornphibul, Mr. Idanont Thaiarry (WFBY Secretary General), and Ms. Sawanee Chuensumran (Deputy Secretary-General).  They also discussed co-operation at the international level.  On the same occasion, Prime Dharma Master Most Ven. Chwasan Nim had donated THB 30,000.- for supporting activities of The WFB.  They also paid a courtesy visit to Most Ven. Phra Mahathirachan, a member of Thai Sangha Supreme Council, and Abbot of Wat Phra Chethuphon Wimonmangklaram.
