The WFB Executive Council Meeting was held for the first time in Singapore, hosted by the Buddhist Union of Singapore and held from 26th to 28th September B.E. 2567 (2024).  All participants received a warm welcome from Ven. Sek Bao Tong (President), the executive committee, especially Mr. G S Tan (Secretary General) of the Buddhist Union.  Other than the serious business of the 102nd EXCO Meeting of which there were recommendations to many agendas, we enjoyed a delightful program titled “Dharma in the Music, Music in the Dharma,” featuring performances by SG Buddhist Music & Buddhist Youths, especially Ven. Heng Sure, who sang beautiful Buddhist songs.  Moreover, we were honored by the presence of Ms. Jane Ittogi, the wife of President of Singapore, at this event.
The host also took some participants on a tour of Gardens by the Bay, a stunning attraction designed to enhance urban greenery and improve the quality of life in the city.  The gardens display plants, trees and flowers from nearly every continent, representing an incredible creation of engineering and horticultural achievement.
