On 15th November B.E. 2567 (2024), Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, President of the World Fellowship of Buddhists (The WFB), assigned Mrs. Sawanee Chuensumran, Deputy Secretary-General, to represent The WFB at the 555th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Sahib, the founder of Sikhism and the first of the ten Sikh Gurus.  The event was chaired by the Director-General of the Department of Religious Affairs Thailand and co-chaired by the Indian Ambassador to Thailand, Governor of Bangkok Metropolitan City, and representatives of five different religions.  The celebration included Gurpurab Art Summit 2024 and cultural performances of the Sikh community, held at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha in the Phranakorn District, Bangkok.
