On 15th December B.E. 2567 (2024), Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, President of the World Fellowship of Buddhists (The WFB), and its executives, met with Most Venerable Shi Kuan Yun, President of the Hong Kong Buddhist Federation, and their executive team at the Okura Prestige Hotel.  The delegation was visiting Thailand to pay respects to the Sacred Buddha’s Tooth Relic, which was temporary enshrined at Sanam Luang, the Royal Ceremony Ground, for public veneration.  The relic was respectfully engaged from the People's Republic of China as part of the celebrations for His Majesty the King’s 6th Cycle Birth Anniversary on 28th July B.E. 2567 (2024).

This meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on promoting world peace through Buddhist principles and to strengthen relationship between The WFB and the Hong Kong Buddhist Federation, a regional centre of The WFB in Chinese Hong Kong and a stronghold of Buddhist activities in Hong Kong for decades.
