Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, President of The WFB, was invited as a guest speaker for the 100th years of Professor Auychai, where he delivered a speech on Prof. Prapass’s contributions to Buddhism.  The event took place at the Faculty of Law, Thamasat University (Tha Prachan Campus) on 18th December B.E. 2567 (2024), in collaboration with the Thamasat Association under Royal Patronage. 

Prof. Prapass Auychai earned his Bachelor of Laws from Thammasat University and Political Science, a Master of Laws from the British Bar Association, and a Doctor of Laws from Chulalongkorn University.  His distinguished career included roles as President of the Central Juvenile and Family Court, Vice President of the Supreme Court, Secretary-General of the Council of Thai Bar Association, President of the Buddhist Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, and President of the Council on Social Welfare.  Moreover, he was appointed a member of the National Legislative Assembly in B.E. 2516 (1973), was graciously appointed President of the National Legislative Assembly in B.E. 2517 (1974), served as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Justice in B.E. 2517 (1974), and was Minister of Justice in B.E. 2534 (1991).  He passed away in B.E. 2560 (2017) at the age of 93.
