Supreme Advisor of the World Buddhist University Strengthens Relations with the Muslim World League

On 27th January B.E. 2568 (2025) Most Venerable Somdet Phra Mahathirachan, a member of the Thai Supreme Sangha Council, the Chief Patriarch of the Northern Sangha of Thailand, Abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangklaram, Supreme Advisor of the World Fellowship of Buddhists, and Chairman of Council of the World Buddhist University (WBU), led a delegation of senior Thai monks in a courtesy visit to Dr. Mohammad Bin Abdulkarim Al-Isa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League in Riyadh, Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia. The visit was part of the celebrations marking the 67th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This visit marked the first time that the Thai Sangha had engaged in a religious discussion aimed at strengthening relations and fostering mutual understanding in a multicultural and multi-religious context for world peace. In this regard, the group of Thai Sangha was scheduled to perform religious duties from 26th to 31st January B.E. 2568 (2025).
