On April 9, 2025, Most Ven. Somdet Phra Mahathirachan, a Member of the Thai Supreme Sangha Council and Supreme Advisor of the World Fellowship of Buddhists (The WFB), presented a WFB humanitarian donation of THB 200,000 (US$ 5,880) to aid those affected by the recent earthquakes and ongoing aftershocks in Myanmar. The donation was received by Most Ven. Phra Ratchawatchara Pandit, Chairperson of The WFB Standing Committee on Environment and Abbot of Wat Chak Daeng, who has strong connections with the Sangha in Myanmar. This ensures the assistance will be delivered promptly and directly to those in need. The presentation was witnessed by Mr. Phallop Thaiarry (President), Mr. Montian Thananart (Secretary-General), Mr. Kongkar Thipkeree (Treasurer), and Ms. Naruechol Bovornphibul (Director) of The WFB.
Additionally, Mr. Phallop and his family, along with Most Ven. Phra Ratchawatchara Pandit and WFB delegates, respectfully received blessings from Most Ven. Somdet on Songkran Day (Thai New Year).
