Additional Contributions for Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar from WFB
On 29th April B.E. 2568 (2025),
On 29th April B.E. 2568 (2025), Most Venerable Somdet Phra Mahathirachan, member of the Thai Supreme Sangha Council, Abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangklaram, and Supreme Advisor to the World Fellowship of Buddhists (WFB), presented a donation of THB 800,000 from the WFB Humanitarian Fund to Most Venerable Phra Ratchawatchara Pandit, Chairperson of the WFB Standing Committee on Environment and Abbot of Wat Chak Daeng. The funds will be used to provide direct humanitarian assistance to the Sangha and people of Myanmar.
The presentation of this fund was witnessed by WFB executives, including Mrs. Kanchana Soonsawad, Vice-President; Mr. Montian Thananart, Secretary-General; Mr. Kongkar Thipkeeree, Treasurer; together with other directors.
Previously, a donation of THB 200,000 was presented on 9th April to support disaster relief efforts in Myanmar. The total humanitarian contribution from the WFB now stands at THB 1,000,000 (equivalent to approximately USD 29,612)
