Merit-Making Ceremony Dedicated to His Holiness Pope Francis

On 29th April 2025, at 5:00 PM, His Holiness Somdet Phra Mahathirachan, Member of the Supreme Sangha Council, Abbot of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangkhalaram, and Supreme Advisor to The World Fellowship of Buddhists (WFB), presided over a merit-making ceremony dedicated to His Holiness Pope Francis.
The ceremony was attended by Archbishop Francis Xavier Kriengsak Kovitvanit, President of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Thailand, along with Buddhist devotees, Catholic priests, and Catholic faithful.
WFB executives including Mrs. Kanchana Soonsawad, Vice-President; Mr. Montian Thananart, Secretary-General; Mr. Kongkar Thipkeeree, Treasurer; together with other directors, also attended the ceremony.
The event took place at the ordination hall (Ubosot) of Wat Phra Chetuphon Wimonmangkhalaram Rajavaramahavihara, Bangkok.
