ICDV Executive Council Meeting Held in China
On 4 th August B.E. 2568 (2025),
On 4 th August B.E. 2568 (2025), Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, President of the World Fellowship of Buddhists (The
WFB), attended the Executive Council Meeting of the International Council for the Day of Vesak (ICDV)
in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China. The meeting is held from 4 th -6 th August, which is a preparatory
session for the 21 st United Nations Day of Vesak Celebration. The celebration is scheduled to take place in
China, May B.E. 2569 (2026).
The meeting was co-chaired by Most Venerable Yan Jue, President of the Buddhist Association of China,
and Ven. Prof. Dr. Phra Brahmapundit, Chairman of ICDV and a member of the Thai Supreme Sangha
Council. Approximately 30 monks and laypeople from various countries, including China participated at this
meeting.
