104th Executive Council Meeting of The WFB

4th-7th December B.E. 2568 (2025)
The Japan Buddhist Federation (JBF) hosted the 104th EXCO Meeting from 4th-7th December B.E. 2568 (2025) in Osaka, Japan.  The Meeting was held concurrently with the 47th General Conference of JBF.
The 104th EXCO Meeting held at Shitennoji Temple, received the adoption of several key matters.  Notably, two new regional centres from Australia and India were officially approved.
A highly of the event was the launch of the Transformation of The WFB Project workshop, led by Mr. Padma Jyoti (Vice-President), and Mr. Anil Chitrakar (Moderator).  The workshop gathered diverse perspectives on various issues, incorporated valuable suggestions drawn from questionnaires previously distributed to EXCO Members and Office Bearers of The WFB.  These insights will greatly benefit the ongoing development of the project.
Beyond the formal agenda, participants enjoyed a short tour of the thousand-year-old Shitennoji Temple, where they learned about its rich history.  They also attended a Traditional Japanese Bunraku (puppet) performance, which was deeply appreciated by all.
The Japan Buddhist Federation extended warm hospitality to all participants, especially through the efforts of Rev. Takaaki Tomioka (Director), and Rev. Tatsuki Inden (Deputy Secretary) of International Department of JBF.
Osaka was a fitting choice for the venue, as it is home to Shitennoji Temple, one of the most significant Buddhist sites, marking the early introduction and spread of Buddhism in the country.  The city continues to serve as a center of spiritual and cultural significance in Japan.
