Cordially Conferring Position of Ovadacariyas of The WFB, and Annual Merit-Making Ceremony
On 31st January B.E. 2569 (2026),
On 31st January B.E. 2569 (2026), the World Fellowship of Buddhists (The WFB) organized the Annual Merit-Making Ceremony at its Headquarters. On this occasion, The WFB has cordially conferred the position of Ovadacariya (Religious Advisor) to the Most Venerable Phra Brahmapundit - member of the Supreme Sangha Council of Thailand, Abbot of Wat Phrayurawongsawas Voravihara, and President of the International Council on Vesak Day (ICDV).
The conferment is in accordance with the Resolution made at the 31st General Conference of The WFB on 5th December B.E. 2568 (2025), held in Bangkok, Thailand.
On this auspicious occasion, The WFB invited Most Ven. Phra Ratchawatchara Pundit, Abbot of Wat Chak Daeng, and Chairperson of The WFB Standing Committee on Environment, along with 8 monks to chant the blessing for prosperity and auspiciousness.
