Hosted the Buddhist funeral rites for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother
on 20th February B.E. 2569 (2026).
Ms. Sabeeda Thaiseth, Minister of Culture, together with Mr. Prasop Riang-ngern, Permanent Secretary of Minister of Culture, Mr. Chaiyapol Suk-ium, Director-General of the Department of Religious Affairs, and representatives of five religions in Thailand, laid wreaths and hosted the Buddhist funeral rites for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the Grand Palace, Thailand on 20th February B.E. 2569 (2026).
The ceremony was to express the united loyalty and gratitude for Her Majesty’s lifelong dedication to the well-being of the Thai people, with participation from the World Fellowship of Buddhists and the Buddhist Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage represented Buddhists in Thailand.
