Interfaith Study Visit

Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, President of The WFB, appointed Mrs. Sawanee Chuensumran, Deputy Secretary-General, to collaborate with the Department of Religious Affairs under the Ministry of Culture of Thailand in implementing the Interfaith Study Visit Project. This initiative focuses on the promotion of Buddhist affairs, mental cultivation, and the advancement of Vipassana meditation at the international level. The study trip was taken place in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
The project is organized as part of the commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Vietnam, aiming to strengthen mutual understanding, foster interfaith dialogue, and enhance cooperation in spiritual and cultural development between the two nations.
On the same occasion, discussions and exchanges of views were held with the Government Committee for Religious Affairs of Vietnam, the authority responsible for religious administration in the country. The delegation also visited the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, a regional centre of The WFB, where they discussed religious affairs and the development of Vipassana meditation in Vietnam. In addition, the group visited several significant religious sites, including Thien Vien Phuoc San (Theravada Meditation Center, Chua Buu Long Temple, Vin Nghiem Temple, and Le Minh Xuan Buddhist University.
