The 21st Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions

11-12 October B.E. 2566 (2023).
Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, President of The WFB, entrusted the representation of The WFB to Mr. Montian Thananart, Secretary-General of The WFB, for participating the 21st Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions held in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan from 11-12 October B.E. 2566 (2023).  During this event, Mr. Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairman of the State Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, presented Mr. Montian Thananart the Medal of Honor of the Congress of the Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.  This recognition ceremony took place in the Atrium Hall of the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation.  The WFB was the representative of Buddhism at the Congress.
Representatives from various religions and international organizations from 23 countries attended the Congress.  It was a platform for open and respectful discussions, fostering mutual trust among attendees. The primary goal was to address global challenges by seeking peaceful solutions and finding common ground to resolve disagreements.
