Guangdong Overseas Friendship Association and Buddhist Association of Shenzhen visited The WFB Headquarters

Venerable Master Yin Shun (Chairman of Buddhist Association of Shenzhen and Abbot of Hongfa Temple), along with Mr. Wang Ruijun (Chairman of Guangdong Overseas Friendship Association) and Mr. Zhang Ke (Chairman of Guangdong Religious and Cultural Exchange Association and Director of Ethic and Religious Affairs Commission of Guangdong Province) led their delegates on a visit to The WFB Headquarters on 18 December B.E. 2566 (2023) to strengthen relationships.  During the visit, Mr. Phallop Thaiarry (President of The WFB), Mr. Montian Thananart (Secretary-General), Mr. Kongkar Tipkeeree (Hon. Treasurer), Mrs. Sawanee Chuensumran (Deputy Secretary-General), including three executives of The WFB, namely Mr. Jeerapat Pansakun, Mr. Isara Yimpanich, and Ms. Naruechol Bovornphibul warmly welcomed the delegation.  The group engaged in discussions regarding future cooperation and activities.

Guangdong Province has experienced significant economic growth, coupled with the rapid development of Buddhism in China PR.  Mr. Phallop emphasized the importance of mutual cooperation among Buddhists to integrate the sublime teachings of Buddhism into daily lives.  The WFB, with a history spanning more than 73 years, was founded of which China PR was one of the prominent founders of The WFB.  Ven. Master Yin Shun extended an invitation to Mr. Phallop and The WFB executives to visit Guangdong.  Venerable Master Yin Shun also expressed the interest of Guangdong and the Buddhist Association of Shenzhen in collaborating with The WFB to organize a conference in Thailand.  The discussions aimed to foster stronger ties and promote the values of Buddhism in the context of contemporary life.
