The WFB’s Dhammaduta Activity in Om-koi District, Chiangmai Province

During 21-22 December B.E. 2566 (2023), a significant Dhammaduta Activity took place at Phra Dharmajarik Toong-ting Temple in Om-koi District, Chiangmai Province. Most Ven. Phra Promsenabodi, a member of Thai Supreme Sangha Council, the Sangha Regional Governor of the 7th Region, and Abbot of Wat Pathumkongkar Ratchavoravihara chaired the event, and collaborated with The WFB Headquarters to organiz the event. The purpose was to propagate Buddhism among the 300 Karin Tribe families, fostering their expressing devout as Buddhists through the guidance of Dhammaduta monks.
During the ceremony, Buddha images were distributed to the hilltribe people, along with blankets and other necessities. This meaningful Buddhist ceremony was conducted in remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great and was made possible through the collaboration efforts of The WFB, WBU, the 7th Region of the Thai Sangha, and private sectors.
