Preserve the World, Embrace self-love
Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, President of The WFB, appointed Mrs. Sawanee Chuensumran, Deputy Secretary-General, and Mr. Isara Yimpanich, a member of The WFB Board of Trustees, to participate in the environmental seminar themed “Preserve the World, Embrace self-love.” This event was organized by the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of Thailand on 25 January B.E. 2567 (2024), and took place at Phramaemareesathon School, Bangkok. The seminar was a response to the Pope Francis’s deep concern about the environmental crisis that poses a threat to all living-beings. He called for people to unite and take action before the environment becomes irreversibly damaged.
In light of Pope Francis’s message, the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of Thailand has declared the years 2024-2025 as a period for collective efforts to save the world. They are encouraging all sectors to come together, plan collaboratively, and devise strategies to creatively promote positive change.
