Jodo Shu Koto-gumi Youth Association visited The WFB HQ



On February 14, B.E. 2567 (2024), Reverend Nensho Abiko, Chairman and a delegation of 15 representatives from Japan's Jodo Shu Koto-gumi Youth Association embarked on a special journey to The WFB Headquarters in Thailand. This visit marked a significant milestone as part of the Association's 50th anniversary celebrations!



They were warmly welcomed by Mr. Montian Thananart, Secretary-General of The WFB, for discussions on the vibrant landscape of Buddhism in Thailand, fostering deeper connections between the two nations.



In a touching tribute, Reverend Mitsuo Masamoto and Reverend Nana Masamoto honored the legacy of the late Reverend Norimitsu Masamoto with a sacred chanting ceremony at The WFB Headquarters.



Reverend Norimitsu Masamoto's profound impact resonates through his pivotal role in collaboration with H.E. Phan Wannamethee, Honorary President of The WFB, in establishing The WFB Humanitarian Fund, Since B.E. 2551 (2008), this fund has provided crucial aid to countries affected by natural disasters, leaving a lasting of compassion and assistance.



This visit not only celebrates decades of friendship but also reaffirms the shared values of compassion and solidarity that unite the global Buddhist community.
