On 20th May B.E. 2567 (2024), Mr. Phallop Thaiarry, President of the World Fellowship of Buddhists (The WFB), along with key members of the organization, participated at the 19th United Nations Day of Vesak Celebration.  This event, held at the UN Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, commemorated the 72nd Birth Anniversary of His Majesty King of Thailand.  The celebration was organized by the Thai Supreme Sangha Council and the Royal Government of Thailand, in collaboration with Mahachulalongkornrajavidhyalaya University and Most Ven. Prof. Dr. Phra Brahmapundit, President of the International Council for Day of Vesak (ICDV).
In attendance with Mr. Thaiarry were Mr. Montian Thananart, Secretary-General, Mrs. Kanchana Soonsawad, Vice-President, along with two Directors, Adm. Jeerapat Pansakun, and Ms. Naruechol Borvornphibul.  On this occasion, Mr. Phallop Thaiarry delivered a keynote speech on conference theme “The Buddhist Way of Building Trust and Solidarity.”  There were Buddhist leaders, scholars, and monks from 73 countries came together and shared their insights and perspectives on fostering trust and solidarity through Buddhist principles.
