Phan Wannamethee, President of The World Fellowship of Buddhists (The WFB), its sub-organizations – the World Fellowship of Buddhist Youth (WFBY), the World Buddhist University (WBU) - its Regional Centres, and networking organizations in cooperation with Sirindhorn Rajvidyalai Foundation under Royal Patronage and On the Path of the Buddha Foundation which President of The WFB, as Chairman of Thai Humanitarian Relief Project, and was funded by The WFB and its Regional Centres in Thailand;

Most Venerable Phra Sudhammadhipati was a revered monk who dedicated his life for social welfare and child education. His passing away on 15 August brought a deep sense of sadness to all Buddhists in Thailand and abroad.

On 10 June B.E. 2563 (2020) Mr. Wang Li, Director of International Affairs, represented the Buddhist Association of China had donated 10,000 pieces of disposal medical mask and N95 mask to the World Fellowship of Buddhists, Headquarters through the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand in Beijing, People’s Republic of China, for preventing the spreading of Covid-19 infection.

Moreover, the United Nations of Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has enlisted Venerable Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta Mahathera as “World Eminent Personalities of Peace” year B.E. 2563-2564 (2020-2021) and supported this conference.

The 25 May B.E. 2563 (2020) is the auspicious occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the establishment of the World Fellowship of Buddhists (The WFB). We actually should celebrate this occasion together at the headquarters of The WFB in Bangkok, Thailand as we have planned previously.

On 27 April B.E. 2563 (2020) Rev. Sujin (Sunmi Choi) from Won-Buddhism temple in Bangkok brought 80 health fabric masks from headquarter of Won-Buddhism in South Korea donated to The WFB Headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand.
The widespread of Coronavirus that infected people in various parts of the world and caused hundreds of dead people with thousands are hospitalized, The World Fellowship of Buddhists (The WFB) and its networking organizations had co-operated with the Buddhist Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, the Young Buddhist Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, the Thai-Chinese Buddhist Association and On the Path of the Buddha Foundation (Regional Centres of The WFB in Thailand) convened the meeting to arrange the Buddhist Chanting of Paritta Verses at Phutthamonthon (Buddhist Park) in Nakhon Pathom Province, Thailand.
